FAQ's

Q: Will the process affect the finish on my parts?

No. The process will not affect the finish on your parts.

Q: Do you perform any machining or other physical work on my parts?

No.

Q: Do the dimensions change?

No. The dimensions stay the same as they came to us.

Q: I don't know how to take my gun apart. Can I just send the whole gun to you?

Absolutely Not ! Please do not send your entire gun to us. If we receive the entire gun you will be charged $150.00 in addition to your cryo treatment fee because of the extra work that is involved. Plus you may also be charged by the ATF for illegally shipping a firearm without an FFL license. Please send only non-official gun parts to us (those listed in the product descriptions). If in doubt, please take your gun to a licensed firearms dealer for advice on your shipment.

Q: Do I have to do anything prior to sending my parts to you?

Just do the regular cleaning of your parts before sending them to us. You should leave a light film of oil on them as well.

Q: How do I ship them to you?

Refer to the shipping page for instructions.

Q: When can I expect to get my parts back?

Many things go into our turn around times; processor load capacity, sales volume, time of year or other factors. Please allow 1-2 weeks plus shipping time.

Q: I have an antique shotgun, can you cryo treat it?

No. We do not treat antique firearms as they may not survive the process. We only accept modern firearms.

Q: I’m concerned that if I send you my parts that they might be damaged in your facility

We completely understand. We treat each part with care just as if they were our own. If you have any concern we recommend that you take photos of your part prior to shipment to us. One note, if we receive them damaged from shipping we will report the damage to UPS (our preferred carrier) for replacement or reimbursement to you. Fortunately, shipping damages are very rare. Please insure your parts to the degree you would like to protect them.

Q: Are the items shown on your product pages for sale?

No, the products shown are just examples of the products you will be purchasing cryogenic services for. At this time we are not selling any products although that may change in the future.

Q: Other cryo companies offer processing on a whole variety of materials. Why don't you?

At One Shot Cryo we are dedicated to the processing of firearms components because it is our passion. Can we process other materials? Of course, but our main focus is firearms. We're gun enthusiasts just like you and we want to help you shoot better and enjoy all the other benefits our cryo process provides. However, if you have other items you would like treated we require a minimum of 50 lbs. per order. Send us your request for proposal using our contact us form. We will get back to you within 48 hours.
